Welcome to 862 Sunbury Squadron Air Cadets

I warmly welcome you to 862 (Sunbury) Squadron Air Training Corps Website. We are the most southerly squadron in Middlesex Wing and parade Monday and Thursday evenings. We currently have a squadron of approximately 50 cadets aged between 12 and 20.  We are always actively looking for new recruits to replace the older cadets as they move on and usually hold 2 recruitment nights during the year.  The squadron has a staff team who help the cadets to undertake a number of activities.

Activities our cadets involve themselves in include Flying, Gliding, Shooting, Water sports, Walking, Camping, visits to RAF Stations, Band, Climbing, Sports, Adventure training, First Aid and many more.

Our cadets also take part in the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme where they can gain Bronze, Silver and Gold levels according to their age. Our syllabus training program also actively boosts the cadets’ work at school by giving them additional BTEC qualifications worth extra GCSEs.

If you would like to join as either a cadet or a staff member or require further information please contact us via our links above.
